Central Texas Animal Alliance

 

Central Texas Animal Alliance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to bringing Austin and the surrounding communities to the place where no cat or kitten of reasonable health and temperament is killed merely because he or she does not have a home.

Larry Tucker

Larry Tucker is a Consultant with RMM Online Advertising. He founded the Central Texas Animal Alliance in 2002 and in 2003 CTAA brought Nathan Winograd of the No Kill Advocacy Center to Austin for a two-day animal welfare seminar. In 2007, he was appointed by the Travis County Commissioners Court to serve as their appointee to the City of Austin/Travis County Animal Advisory Commission. He was elected Chair of the Commission in 2009. He also volunteers for many animal welfare organizations, such as Austin Pets Alive and FixAustin.

  

Lisa McClain

Lisa McClain is an environmental and appellate attorney. In addition to serving as Council Member Chris Riley's appointee to the City's Animal Advisory Commission, Lisa also teaches Animal Law as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas School of Law.  Previously Lisa served for two and a half years as the Chair of the Animal Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, and she was a Board Member and Officer of the Texas Humane Legislation Network.  Lisa also volunteered at Town Lake Animal Center for over eight years and she has volunteered for Austin Pets Alive in various capacities.  




Ryan Clinton

Ryan Clinton is an appellate attorney at Hankinson Levinger, LLP, in Texas.  Ryan has six times been named one of Texas's best attorneys under the age of 40, has successfully argued in the Texas Supreme Court four times, and was a 2009 recipient of the No Kill Advocacy Center's Henry Bergh Leadership Award.  In 2005, Ryan founded FixAustin.org, which has been instrumental in leading No Kill efforts in Austin, Texas, where the City Council recently voted unanimously in favor of adopting No Kill reforms.  He also serves as volunteer legal counsel for Austin Pets Alive.

 

Robert Graham
 

Robert Graham is the Information Technology Director for two Austin area hospitals. He was appointed by Bill Spellman to the Austin Animal Advisory Commission in 2009. He has been a Senior Cat Behavioral volunteer at Town Lake Animal Shelter for three years. He created and lead a group of volunteers to provide new cat adopters information on proper introductions and potential issues. He and his cat Zoey (A Delta Society complex therapy cat) are volunteers working with Austin Dog Alliance to provide pet therapy hospice care.
